Long Beach, NY (December 15, 2003) The United Coaching Associates
is pleased to announce that Business Talk Radio New York,
broadcast on WLIE (540 AM) has taken a gold sponsorship position
of the first annual Work/Life Balance Event. Long Island's
first all-day event devoted to helping business people discover
and incorporate new tools and techniques to make dreams come
true and businesses more productive will take place January
21, 2004 from noon to 8pm at the Chateau Briand in Westbury,
NY.
In addition to Business Talk Radio, the event is sponsored
by Longisland.com, Sandler Sales Institute, and Simon Coaching
Initiative. This event consists of two dozen exhibitors, six
workshops, lunch and dinner buffet, a 15-minute neck and shoulder
massage, and a keynote address given by Mitch Shapiro, creator
and Chair of the Blind Wine Tasting Gala.
UCA President Deborah Brown-Volkman explains “a key
element of The United Coaching Associates’ mission is
to be a resource for Long Island and the world. With this
event, we’re making good on that mission. Long Islanders
have never seen an event like this. Whatever dreams they desire
but have pushed to the side, this event is their day to recapture
this."
Stories about work/life balance have been written this year
by The Washington Post, ABC News, USA Today, MSNBC, and Business
Week. See a listing of some of these stories at: http://www.winningworkplaces.org/library/articles/worklifearchive.php#balance
Asked about their decision to sponsor the event, Jeff Weber,
Executive Vice-President for Business Talk New York said,
“We are all about providing our listeners with the best
tools available to ensure they enjoy success with their business
and lifestyle. The Work/Life Balance Event is the ideal place
for us to get that message out to Long Island's business population."
UCA Vice President Andrea Feinberg added that “the
speed with which we’ve sold exhibit space and found
enthusiastic sponsors confirms that we’ve planned a
winning combination to address a real need with practical
tools and solutions for Long Island’s working population.
I suggest they come in from the cold, enjoy a hot chocolate
and learn new ways to have it all!”
