"How
To Generate Revenue in a Down Market -
The Benefits of Teaming"
New LI Chapter of US Women's Chamber of Commerce Hosts
First Program to Help Women in Business
(Long
Island, NY) March 24, 2003 -- Linda McCabe, President of the U.S.
Women's Chamber of Commerce (USWCC/Long Island Affiliate), has announced
the Chamber will host its first breakfast and panel discussion,
"How to Generate Revenue in a Down Market - The Benefits of
Teaming," on Wednesday, April 9th, 2003 from 8:00 to 10:00
am at the Oheka Castle (www.oheka.com)
in Cold Spring Hills, New York.
"The
benefits of teaming or forming a partnership to work on a specific
project closely parallels the objectives of the USWCC, which is
to help all working women -- whether they are just starting in the
workforce, working their way up the corporate ladder, building their
careers, or running a business -- to grow economically, "McCabe
said. "Teaming offers a way to help small business owners expand
their product and service offerings. For individuals working in
the corporate arena, this will be an opportunity to increase technical
and managerial skills. Strategic alliances open doors to opportunities
that would otherwise not be available alone."
The
panel discussion will focus on all the elements and key players
needed to form a successful teaming arrangement. Panelists include:
Gavin C. Grusd, an attorney for Certilman, Balin, Adler & Hyman,
LLP; Sally Pass, President of Controllers On Call; Jan Yngstrom,
State Bank of Long Island, Mark Horowitz PhD, President of Impletec,
a company specializing in teaming; and Lisa Dolan, President of
Securit, a small business owner who has successfully participated
in this type of business arrangement. Linda McCabe will moderate
the discussion, and following questions posed to the panelists,
there will be time for audience participation.
