2001 – On Thursday, October 4, 2001 the March of Dimes
will proudly honor five of Long Island’s most outstanding
women at the 10th Anniversary of the
Women of Distinction Awards. The awards were created
to recognize and honor women who have “made a difference”
on Long Island through their professional and/or personal
lives.
This year’s honorees are:
Jeanine L. Bondi, vice president, Lloyd
Staffing; Kim Guthrie, vice
president/general manager, Cox Radio; Debi Makovy,
sales manager, Smithtown Ford; Jodi Miller,
vice president, J.P. Morgan Chase & Company;
and Marilyn Price, partner, Certilman Balin
Adler & Hyman, LLP.

The March of Dimes is a national voluntary health
organization whose mission is to improve the health of
babies by preventing birth defects and infant mortality.
Founded in 1938, the March of Dimes funds programs of
research, community services, education and advocacy to
save babies.
