Women on the Job, the leading agency in the fight for
women’s rights in the workplace on Long Island, is this
year proudly marking 20 years of accomplishments. The
celebration will culminate with its 20th
Anniversary Brunch to be held on Sunday, December 2, 2001
at the Crest Hollow Country Club.
Over the years, Women on
the Job, and its 60 member coalition of Long Island
organizations has championed pay equity, sexual
harassment, women on corporate boards, pregnancy
discrimination and women in non-traditional occupations.
It has a demonstrated record of having educated women
about their workplace rights and helping them achieve
greater equality.
At the December Brunch,
Women on the Job will be recognizing seven distinguished
women who are making a difference on Long Island. They
are Eileen Tanne, President, ET Connections; Constance
Schwartz, Director and Chief Curator, Nassau County Museum
of Art; Delores Cooper Kershaw, President 100 Black Women
of Long Island; Joan S. Brennan, Executive Director, The
Long Island Mentoring Partnership; Stephanie Gollobin,
Huntington High School; Betty Hasteadt, Editor, WOJTF
Newsletter; and Susan Dunnells, RN, Advocate, West Islip
Nurses Association.
Anyone interested in
attending the Brunch is welcome. Call Women on the Job at
