Women Chefs To Help Breast Cancer Hotline

Long Island women chefs will again be rolling up their sleeves and preparing their signature dishes to benefit the Adelphi NY Statewide
Breast Cancer Hotline and Support Program.  It’s the third annual LI
Women Chefs Serving the Adelphi Breast Cancer Hotline.  This sell-out
brunch will be offered on Sunday, March 11, 2001 at 12 noon at the
Culinary Arts Center at the New York Institute of Technology’s (NYIT) Central Islip Campus.

The event is a benefit for the hotline, a program of the AdelphiUniversity School of Social Work, which each year offers information, referrals and emotional support to nearly 4,000 callers throughout New York in addition to locally-run support groups and educational forums.

For information and to reserve a seat, call 516-877-4325. Tickets are $50 per person.

The breast cancer program has been in existence for 21 years.  It is a project of the Adelphi University School of Social Work on Long Island and is funded by the New York State Legislature and Department of Health, grants and contributions.  The website is www.adelphi.edu/nysbreastcancer.

Help is just a phone call away at 800-877-8077.
